Description

The French Briquet-Sabre is its earliest form was adopted in 1767. Replacing some of the longer, more cumbersome swords, opting for a more compact design. These swords were carried by various troops throughout the Napoleonic era.

The Napoleonic Grenadier’s Briquet "Champagne" Sabre features a simple charming design. A short swept blade mounted on a hefty, one-piece cast brass hilt. Completed with genuine leather sheath, finished in brass trim.

Full sized replica sword, in 1065AISI carbon steel. Brass fittings.

Comes standard with fine, blunt edge. Can be sharpened for an additional charge.

*Please note - For sharpening, we have to stop generally about 1" from the blades plunge line due to the protruding hilt quillion. If you would like a photo of an example please let us know.

Compared to my other sword that I paid another half of what this cost sharpened it a 4, but for the price and quality its a rock solid 5. Well built, quality sheath, looks great and sharpened its a legit sword. I would buy it again.
