From Britannia to Babylonia the Roman Empire stretched. Its armies, possibly the most formidable of all time were the driving force behind this conquest.
The legionnaire, highly trained, fought as a cohesive unit. Side by side, equipped with the Gladius sword and Scutum shield. Their tactics are still used today.
The Legionary Gladius from Zyden is a quick and agile sword. Light weight, with a high carbon steel blade in a stunning leaf shape profile. Finely sharpened edges and deadly piercing point. The hilt is constructed from rosewood and brass, nicely detailed with brass studs and finished with a brass pommel cap. Includes a timber sheathe dressed on genuine “Roman red” leather and brass flashings.
A beauty of a sword and a brilliant addition to the swordsman’s collection.
This beautiful sword exceeded all expectations. It is beautifully crafted, sharp, a pride in any collection.
I've own this weapon for a little under a year and I must say, this sword is worth it. Blade is sharp, handle is made flush, balance is spot on, handles great and looks badass. The sword itself from what I've found is 10/10. My only downside is the scabbard. It looks great but despite me not using it, the belt brace do not hold up well. Rings are solid but the rest is gluded on and will fall off over time. Other than that, this weapon is great
Solid construction, handles perfectly and looks awesome.
The quality of these Zyden swords has been quite amazing, especially given the price tag and the fact that you recieve it within like two days. I can't even really imagine how this sword could be any better (outside of subjective aesthetic reasons). Stuff like this makes me feel like the sword community in NZ has come a LONG way :)
