      Nice basic jian

Handle was a little loose when it arrived, but no problem because this design has a nut at the end you can tighten. I ordered the stiff blade, which is great - it has a little spring to it but isn't floppy. I'm going to try to adjust the balance point by adding a heavier pommel, as I want it right near the hilt and it's currently a few inches up the blade from there. Many people want it there, so this is not a defect, it's designed that way. I'm a beginner with swords, and will probably graduate to a fancier one later, but this is great for me right now.
