>>> This sword blade is made in damascus steel, though it has not been etched so the grain pattern is very subtle. Scabbard may have a few insignificant blemishes.

---

The Wakizashi is a traditional short sword of Japan. The close quarter combat weapon of choice by the Samurai. Quicker and easier to maneuver one handed. Often accompanied with the katana. Worn in the belt (obi) edge up.

The "Tomoe" or "Tomoye" is the name of one of Japan's oldest symbols. It is actually made up of three individual "magatama". It is said that many of the gods were created from these "magatama". The "Tomoe" comes in many forms, but the trinity spiral kind is largely associated with the Samurai.

Our Tomoe IV Wakizashi sports a subtle patterned, high polished, shiny blade. This full tang, through tempered 'Damascus Steel' Katana blade features a beautiful 'Bo-Hi' (blood groove). A visually stunning and extremely sharp blade!
