Restoration, Conservation & Customisation Services

For custom and restoration work, we are currently booked out until February 2027. We can still complete some small jobs in the meantime. To receive a quote or reserve a place in the queue, please contact us.

Specialist Assessments & Consultations

For antique restoration assessments and custom sword enquiries, we charge a $75 specialist consultation fee where a detailed assessment, advice, or quotation is required. We may be able to provide general guidance or a ballpark indication beforehand.

If you would like us to assess your project in detail and prepare a quotation, the $75 consultation fee applies.

If you proceed with the work, the $75 fee is credited in full towards the final cost.

There is no assessment or consultation charge for basic custom work.

$70 — Single edge sword blunting, when purchasing from us. All sizes.
$110 — Double edge sword blunting, when purchasing from us. All sizes.
$120 — Single edge sword blunting, for a sword brought in to us. All sizes.
$160 — Double edge sword blunting, for a sword brought in to us. All sizes.
$90 — Single edge sword sharpening, when purchasing from us. All sizes.
$130 — Double edge sword sharpening, when purchasing from us. All sizes.
$140 — Single edge sword sharpening, for a sword brought in to us. All sizes.
$180 — Double edge sword sharpening, for a sword brought in to us. All sizes.
$650 — Katana handle re-bind in standard braid, including materials.
$150 — Koiguchi tightening / basic repair. $100+ extra for well-worn or damaged examples.
$170 — Modern or antique sword independent appraisal. Nihonto + $75. Laminated certificate + $60.
$1,375 — Full antique sword service, no sheath. Includes rust/corrosion cleaning and polishing.
$625 — Antique scabbard, steel only. Full service.
$845 — Antique scabbard, composite or intricate. Full service.
$800 — Carving a new handle for a sword, e.g. katana. Price varies depending on complexity.
$1,450 — Carving a new scabbard for a sword, e.g. katana. Price varies depending on complexity.
$1,750 — Custom sword starting price. Depending on requirements, the final price may be considerably higher.
