BATTLE OF BRITAIN

During World War II, the Germans had organised the seaborne invasion of Britain (Operation Sealion) which depended on the German Air Force having control of the skies. Between the 10 July to 31 October 1940 the Royal Air Force defeated the Germans in an action referred to as 'The Battle of Britain' and the invasion was cancelled. The Battle of Britain Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with an air combat scene on the inside. There is a sheet of rub down transfers with over 40 items on it. On the reverse there is an air combat scene to colour in and historical information.

CASTLE ATTACK

An attacking army had to break through a castle's defenses to get inside it walls. This was done by surrounding the castle to stop food, water and reinforcements from helping the castle's occupants. The castle would then be attached with siege weapons like catapults, battering rams, siege towers and ladders. Once inside, the knights would fight to the death for control of the castle. The Castle Attack Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a medieval castle siege on the inside. There is a sheet of rub down transfers with over 50 items on it. On the reverse there is a battle scene to colour in and historical information.

COUNTRYSIDE ADVENTURE

The woodlands, hedgerows, rivers and streams are home to a rich diversity of mammals, birds, reptiles and fish. Each animal plays it's own special role in the balance of nature with eagles, owls, badgers and foxes at the top of the food chain. The Countryside Adventure Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a countryside scene on the inside. There is a sheet of rub down transfers with over 45 items on it. On the reverse there is a nature scene to colour in and educational information.

D-DAY BEACH ATTACK

In the early morning of the 6th June 1944 (D-Day) the greatest seaborne invasion in history took place on the beaches of Normandy in Northern France. Operation Overlord saw more than 150,000 US, British and Commonwealth soldiers cross the English Channel to establish five beachheads. The code names for these were Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword. By nightfall the beachheads were secure and the liberation of western Europe had begun. The D-Day Beach Attack Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with an image of allied troops attacking a Normandy beach on the inside. DINOSAURS

Tyrannosaurus Rex was one of the largest land carnivores of all time. They lived during the late Cretaceous period, about 65 million to 85 million years ago. An average Tyrannosaurus Rex was about 39 feet (nearly 12 meters) long, about 20 feet (more than 6 meters) tall, and probably weighed around 7 tons. They existed in most parts of western North America as well as some parts of Asia. This A4 size T-Rex Attack transfer pack contains over 40 rub down transfers that can be 'rubbed' onto a scene from the Cretaceous period, when dinosaurs ruled the world. KNIGHTS' TOURNAMENT

Tournaments provided a means for knights to practice warfare and build their strength in times of peace. These 'war games' consisted of individual contests (jousts) and group combat (melee). The most exciting event in the tournaments was the joust, where one knight would ride his horse at his opponent and would try to knock him off his horse with a blunted lance. The Knight's Tournament Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a medieval tournament scene on the inside. PHARAOH'S TOMB

Pharaohs and wealthy Egyptians were buried in ornamental coffins in decorated tombs with valuable objects such as statues and models of the Egyptian gods and animals. Scrolls, called Books of the Dead, were buried inside the sarcophagus with the deceased. They were made of Papyrus and contained hymns, images and magical texts to guarantee passage to the afterlife (life after death). They were intended to guide the dead through the various trials that they would encounter before reaching the underworld. A full colour A4 Egyptian Pharaoh's Tomb scene with a set of rub down transfers. ROMAN GLADIATOR

A Gladiator was an armed combatant who entertained audiences in the Roman Repuplic and Roman Empire in violent confrontations with other gladiators, wild animals, and condemned criminals. This A4 size gladiator combat transfer pack contains over 30 rub down transfers that can be 'rubbed' onto a scene from the coliseum, an arena where gladiators fought. On the reverse of their pack is gladiator scene to colour in and historical information.

ROMAN LIFE

The Forum was a public square in a Roman town reserved primarily for the selling of goods. The baths were used as part of day to day life in Roman times. They were extremely popular with both men and women. The had hot and cold pools, steam rooms, saunas and exercise rooms. This A4 size Roman life transfer pack contains over 40 rub down transfers that can be 'rubbed' onto a scene from a Roman town. ROYAL BANQUET

During both Medieval and Tudor times a large part of the population lived in, or very near to, the major market towns. On market day these towns were the meeting place for farmers, traders and craft workers from across the country selling and exchanging their goods. Coral reefs form some of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. TRENCH WARFARE

World war I was fought in the air, on land and at sea. Thousands of miles of parallel trenches were dug along the western front from the north coast of Belgium to Switzerland. Various new weapons were introduced during this conflict including hand grenades, poison gas, trench mortars and tanks. Life in the trenches was very unpleasant as the trenches were filthy and waterlogged and rats and disease were common place. The Trench Warfare Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a World War trench battle scene on the inside. VICTORIAN LIFE

Towns and cities grew rapidly during Victorian times and the population soared. The largest area of growth came from London and the industrial towns in the north of England such as Leeds, Bradford and Manchester. Victorian towns were busy places with street vendors selling fruit and vegetables from barrows and stalls, farmers selling livestock, butchers, pubs, banks and theaters. The Victorian Life Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a Victorian street scene on the inside. VIKING ATTACK

Viking is the name by which the Scandinavian sea-borne raiders of the early medieval period are now commonly known. Having the fastest ships of the day they would arrive seemingly out of nowhere, close to the target, and storm ashore ready to attack. If needed, they could row their ships up rivers and head for a church, convent or village of their choice. The Viking Attack Transfer Pack consists of an A4 card with a Viking battle scene on the inside.
